Passport: “an official document issued by a government, certifying the holder's identity and citizenship and entitling them to travel under its protection to and from foreign countries; a thing that ensures admission to or the achievement of something”.
I am passionate in the art of travel and aim to serve as the 'passport' for travelers with curiosity, humility and an open mind to help them realize their travel aspirations.
I am Anne Mills, your dedicated travel advisor, residing in Seattle. I travel extensively and am constantly widening my knowledge (online or reading when unable to travel) to better serve my clients. I lived in Africa (Libya & Nigeria) and Indonesia from age 6-20, while my father was working there, then France & England as a young adult and have traveled to over thirty countries. My favorites? Numerous places in Africa, New Zealand and Europe - and you'll see a particular amount of attention played to active & culinary travel, as I believe you better immerse yourself when you are literally 'on the ground' - walking, cycling, paddling, eating - among the locals. I worked as a corporate travel planner in San Francisco in the '80's and have worked as a leisure & group travel advisor since 2017.
Explore destinations from Africa, Europe, the Mideast, South Asia and Oceania. Associated links provide my dedicated destination sites and/or regional detailed information. Note that we are not limited to the destinations I have listed.
The companies that best serve the destinations I include in the 'destinations' section. Associated links provide dedicated sites or sample itineraries unique to that company.
An alphabetized listing of Ocean, Expedition, River cruise lines with brief overviews and links to individual dedicated websites for each one, complete with more details plus calendars offering pricing and destinations. When you are ready for even more information, let me know.
The Travel Magazine, the current and previous issues; and well as travel news, regulations, tips, hacks, apps, articles, travel insurance, visa requirements and travel advisories.
The AXUS travel app is where I craft inspiring itineraries and can enter your personalized trip with all the pertinent details, activity suggestions, travel documents with the ability to update it, as needed, when you are on your journey.
Do you dream of recharging in natural beauty and celebrating the unique culture & fine food of a destination? Would you like help focusing on the information needed for a safe and enriching vacation and guidance discarding the disinformation that creates confusion and worry? I curate personalized, seamless itineraries (with the assistance of the best of the local experts) so that you can plan and embark on a journey of wonder & discovery, satisfied palates, usually an element of wellness (whether physical, mental or philanthropic) that will culminate in a heart full of warm memories.
Services include research, customized itinerary building, matching your expectations to the appropriate local specialists (companies that provide any or all of the following: tours or comprehensive packages, accommodations, activities, air transportation, ground transportation), advising you about documentation and travel guidelines, travel insurance and helping if you encounter the unexpected while en route.
There are 'off-the-rack' travel products aplenty, available & accessible to all; they may provide some customization to a point; they usually do not provide advice or an array of options and therefore, do not charge for such - these may be exactly what you need.
If you would welcome help sorting through all the products & travel regulations out there, and would appreciate the efficiency of having a consultant help with focus so you can get the best value and enjoyment before and during your next trip, read on to learn what I offer.

Review 1: "Your organization of the trip was perfect. You did so much research on our destinations, and were incredibly quick to respond to any questions. I thought the price was most reasonable! Great value. When I travel with others now, we tend to seek out our own space with lodging, and I was most grateful that you could accommodate this, both in Naples and in Sorrento. Being within walking distance to town was wonderful, and gave us freedom of movement and flexibility. Sorrento is so walkable, and with easy access to the port. The farm visit and Capri were wonderful. I thought the balance of activities and free time was just perfect. Pompeii was another highlight. Eight was just the right size for a tour. I'd love to do a similar trip in the future."
Review 2: "I loved the hotel you found in Naples and felt that it was the main attraction in Naples-for me, at least. It was a wonderful, elegant hidden gem in a city, although historic, was full of graffiti. I also thought our VRBO in Sorrento was just fine. I especially liked that you were able to find a place for all 8 of us-not easy- and almost all of us were ale to have our own room plus a bathroom. I loved the farm visit in Sorrento and having lunch prepared by the lovely wife/mom of the family. The family were all quite charming and a very interesting time learning about farming lemons and olives. (There was) nice balance between free time and group. I think I no doubt echo what others in the group may have told you and that is - if you ever do another one of these small group tours/trips, let me know!"
